Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa

Loved every second!

Pros: Absolutely loved it! Perfect for a solo female traveller I loved laguna the beach club, food and staff were exceptional I’ll definitely be back

The most wonderful hotel with special staff

Pros: Sofitel the Palm was the most beautiful hotel and resort. All areas of the hotel were tastefully decorated and beautifully landscaped. The beach and pools were all wonderful with plenty of comfy sunbeds. We all enjoyed the onsite restaurants which offered different cuisines and settings and there was plenty of choice on the half board menu options. We found the buggy service really useful to take you to different parts of the hotel. Finally but most importantly every single member of staff was friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make your stay special.

Cons: The drinks were very expensive compared to UK prices and an all inclusive option would have been good

Pros: This is proper 5* hotel with 5* service! We stayed in the prestige suite - I highly recommend it. The lounge was excellent and special thanks to Elena who went up and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. The gratitude extends to the rest of the staff - they are all excellent. Nice swimming pool and beach, nice spa. I also the hotel scent.

A wonderful stay in Palm Jumeirah

Pros: The people working in the hotel were amazing, they were very nice and polite. Room was giant, clean and confy. Location was calm and relaxing. They made me feel very special and important with very simple and small details. A letter writen buy hand was in my room when I got there welcoming me with a box of chocolates and fresh fruits. I really apreciate my the time I spent there.

Cons: Nothing to complain.

Fantastic Refreshing stay

Pros: I loved my stay at the Palm and would love to visit back.

Excellent

Pros: The restaurants were excellent, pools and beach were great and the staff were superb. We loved the location as it was far enough away from the busy areas not to disturb us put close enough to visit when we wanted to

Cons: The maid service was a little hit or miss. They didn't always leave replacement dressing gowns when they took the old ones away to clean. Although we had breakfast included we only went once as it was so busy and very hectic

Beautiful views

Pros: Lovely hotel more for families but great facilities

Good, party excellent, but noisier than expected

Pros: Classy and well-kept rooms and common areas. Lounge staff and atmosphere was excellent. Food in restaurants was very good. Beach had lots of space, and plenty of beds. Felt secure/safe. Longe access improved our stay from acceptable to very good (although we did not appreciate that smoking was allowed there). Convenient to have a mini market on premises. Excellent gym with techno-gym equipment!

Cons: Got a difficult start with the reception as they had no understanding of our request to have a room with a south or west facing balcony (we’re Scandinavians, and long for sun now in the winter as there is no daylight or sun at home). They kept on showing/offering us rooms facing north. (If we had known that the sun sets around 5 p.m. we would of course not have bothered anyone with this…) Also, our Russian neighbours smoked A LOT in their balcony, so in addition to a useless balcony, we had to keep the doors closed. A bit noisy everywhere, especially in the breakfast hall. Serenity zone in the beach is adjacent to a restaurant that plays music from around noon, so not much serenity to catch there either… A lot of babies and children up to 10 years of age also adds significantly to the noise level. Price level is “insane”, even for us Scandinavians. Real estate sellers should not be allowed in this hotel, in our opinion. Sound a bit negative now, but would return!

Pros: Room was amazing, lovely pool and beach and fantastic breakfast

Overall excellent hotel. With very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for you
